Advertising supplements, peptides and telehealth on Meta
The question is never whether the category is allowed. It's which version of the claim is.
Supported does not mean unrestricted
Research-use-only products, supplements, telehealth, insurance and legal lead generation are supported categories on Whop Ads. Insurance, legal and personal-injury lead generation and pay-per-call in particular were described as stable with existing advertiser volume.
Support means the infrastructure will carry the category. It does not mean Meta's policies stop applying. Every constraint below comes from Meta, not from the account provider, and no provider relationship removes them.
Research-use-only products
RUO advertising may be permitted. Ads must not claim or imply the product is intended for human use — that is the line, and it is the one most often crossed unintentionally in creative that shows application or dosing.
Static ads and gated user-generated content approaches have been approved in examples discussed. Sales offers such as discounts and buy-one-get-one promotions have been accepted. Live injection content was not endorsed.
Ungated cloaking was explicitly rejected. Cloaking is not a grey area here; it is treated as bad faith.
Telehealth and prescription drugs
Prescription-drug advertising requires appropriate certification. LegitScript was the only certification confirmed in use at the time of the webinar, and whether alternatives are accepted was an open question rather than a settled one.
Telehealth advertisers should submit the relevant business ID and domain through support. Backend authorisation may be assisted, but it does not substitute for legitimate prescribing and compliance infrastructure.
Where the answer is genuinely unclear
Sexual wellness sits in an uncertain zone. Supplements in that category appeared to be treated differently from adult novelty products, and the conservative answer given was 'probably not for now' pending confirmation.
Explicitly discouraged: pornography, tobacco, OnlyFans management, fraud, deceptive cloaking, and uncertified prescription-drug advertising.
Treat verbal guidance — including everything on this page — as preliminary. Confirm sensitive categories in writing before spending heavily, and keep documentation for products, claims, licences and certifications.
