Building Meta campaigns with an AI agent instead of by hand

Uploading two hundred creatives through an interface is not a skill. It's an afternoon you don't get back.

What is actually exposed

The API covers essentially everything available in the advertising interface: creating businesses and ad accounts, creating campaigns and ads, configuring budgets and bidding, uploading creatives in bulk, creating and firing conversion events, reading campaign data, migrating existing Meta campaigns, pulling and qualifying leads, and sending automated follow-up.

There is also a CLI, preloaded with skills for operating the product. Both are designed to be pointed at by an AI coding agent rather than driven by hand.

The workflow that works

Give the documentation at docs.whop.com to a coding agent — Claude Code and Cursor are the two named in practice — and describe the task. The documentation is written to be read by a model, so the agent works from the current reference rather than from memory.

Start with one narrow, testable task on a controlled project. Read-only or narrowly scoped credentials first. Verify the result before granting anything broader.

Then expand into the repetitive work: creative uploads, reporting, lead qualification, follow-up. These are the tasks where automation compounds because they recur weekly.

What stays human

Claims, budgets, compliance and economics. An agent will do exactly what you asked at whatever scale you allowed, which is precisely the risk when the instruction was slightly wrong.

Review every material setting before spend goes live. Automating campaign construction does not automate media-buying judgment, and the webinar was explicit that it was covering technical setup rather than supplying vertical-specific strategy.

A worked example

One demonstrated pattern: point the system at a competitor's Meta Ad Library page, ask it to identify the strongest recurring concepts, recreate them as new campaigns, and launch. That example reportedly produced qualified leads.

The same pattern works for migration — reconstructing an existing campaign structure inside a new account rather than rebuilding it by hand, which is otherwise the main reason advertisers delay switching.

Common questions

Can Meta campaigns be created programmatically through Whop Ads?
Yes. The API exposes campaign creation, budgets and bidding, bulk creative upload, conversion events, campaign migration and lead retrieval. A CLI is also available.
Which AI tools work with the Whop Ads API?
The documentation is written to be read by coding agents. Claude Code and Cursor are the two named in practice. The workflow is to give the agent docs.whop.com and describe the task.
Is it safe to let an AI agent manage ad spend?
Only with human review on claims, budgets, compliance and economics. Start with narrowly scoped credentials and a small controlled project, and verify material settings before spend goes live.
