Your money is stuck in settlement while your ads stall
The campaign is working. The cash to scale it is sitting in a payout queue for three days.
The growth trap nobody budgets for
A campaign starts working and the correct response is more spend. But the revenue that would fund it is in settlement — typically two to seven days between a customer paying and the money being usable.
So spend is throttled by settlement timing rather than by performance. The faster you grow, the wider the gap, because more revenue in flight means more capital locked up at the exact moment you want to deploy it.
Two funding routes that skip the wait
Ad spend can be funded from a Whop balance. For a business already earning on the platform, revenue can be recycled directly into acquisition without waiting for a bank payout — the money never leaves the system to come back.
Or spend can be funded by card. Card-funded spend retains the advertising merchant category, which means eligible card rewards on media spend are preserved. At meaningful volume that is a real line item, not a rounding error.
What to check before relying on it
Country regulatory and digital-services surcharges are passed through and charged alongside spend. Confirm how those appear in reporting before you reconcile media cost, or your numbers will drift from your statements.
Advertising eligibility and payment-processing eligibility are separate matters. Being able to advertise a category does not mean the platform will process payments for that category, and the webinar was explicit that Whop payment processing was not being offered for peptide or research-use-only product sales.
Common questions

- Yes. Card-funded spend through Whop Ads retains the advertising merchant category, which preserves eligible card rewards on media spend.
- How do I fund ads without waiting for payouts?
- Spend can be funded directly from a Whop balance, so revenue earned on the platform can be reinvested into acquisition without waiting for bank settlement.
- Does using Whop Ads mean Whop processes my payments?
- No. Advertising and payment processing are separate. Whop payment processing was explicitly not offered for peptide or research-use-only product sales.
